A joint congress always involves an additional challenge, even more when one of the events is a first edition. 395 participants coming from 23 countries attended the World Engineering Forum which was held on the occasion of the World Federation of Engineering Organisation’s General Assembly that had selected Rome as its venue for the year 2018.  WEF participants joined the 200  WFEO delegates coming from 60 countries from all over the world. A worldwide community of engineers counting over 600 persons gathered to tackle some of the most pressing problems in engineering and sustainable development.

The “Auletta dei Gruppi Parlamentari” at Montecitorio, Chamber of Deputies hosted the Welcome Ceremony whose attendance exceeded all expectations, a warm welcome from the city of Rome to a group of professionals well aware of the new role they are called to assume in an age of fast-paced social change and changes in technology.
