26th OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum - Second Preparatory Meeting

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is a regional organization
for the promotion of peace, political dialogue, justice and cooperation in Europe, currently with 57
member countries. Therefore, it is the largest regional security organization. The OSCE Presidency
rotates very year among its members. In 2018, Italy held its Presidency.
The second preparatory meeting to the Economic and Environmental Forum was held Scuola
Grande San Giovanni Evangelista on May 24-25.

The Forum meets once a year and is the main OSCE event to discuss economic, environmental and security issues. The meeting in Venice was
attended by more than representatives of governments, the civil society and of the international
organizations.

Managing the organization of a venue such as Venice where materials and technological equipment had to be shipped by boat

Showing the participants the routes to take to get to the conference venues on time (they were scattered in several self-booked hotels in Venice and outside of the city)

Selecting and coordinating suppliers able to work in line with high standards and with state-of-the art technical equipment in ancient and protected historical buildings

Transferring many participants to the meeting venue and to the gala dinner by motorboat in a very short period of time
