OVERVIEW
The BNL Internazionali d’Italia is the most important tennis event annually hosted by the city of Rome, that attracts the best international players to compete on the red dirt in Foro Italico. It is part of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 circuit, which brings together the top 9 tournaments after the 4 of the Grand Slam.
The matches take place over 10 days in the Foro Italico venue together with other events around tennis courts and initiatives by sponsors.
The 71st edition of the tournament had a sold-out record of 6 days out of 9 and an all time high of attendance for a single day (30,2026 people). For the first time ever, the event featured an area of 150,000 square meters, of which 6,500 square meters of Green Areas and 7,000 square meters of Marble Areas in addition to 12 tennis courts, 5 for matches and 7 for training purposes.
