2020 AIIC National Congress - Virtual Event

This year, the Italian Association of Clinical Engineers was forced to postpone the 2020 'physical' congress to next year due to the COVID-19 emergency. Despite this, it has decided to host the National Conference in Full Virtual mode, allowing all participants to access the online platform for free. The conference took place 4 hours a day for 4 days, with sessions focusing on interesting and current scientific matters.

The sponsoring companies were rather wary of the online solution, moreover there was a lack of knowledge of the some of the visibility tools related to virtual events

Ega, in collaboration with the technological partner, has created a series of training materials and actual tutorials to facilitate the understanding and use of the services for the companies

One of the challenges of the event was to ensure effective visibility for the companies, to a level that matched the one of a physical event

Ega has transformed the scientific program into a proper television schedule by distributing in a fair and balanced manner the scientific interventions, the corporate interventions and the sponsored video contributions. In addition, a prize competition was held, which invited all participants to go to the virtual stands of the companies and decipher the questions of the quiz to win the prizes that were up for grabs

The characterizing element of the physical event was the networking, favored by the large exhibition area and the catering areas

Ega has created a live chat based on the messenger model open to all members, participants and companies. In addition, companies were given the opportunity to make real appointments with the participants, which took place via team calls by clicking directly on the company's stand
