Board meetings to be organized in Tuscany and South Carolina with marathon meetings for the evaluation of the abstracts and the presentation of the event to the executive committee with representatives from the railway companies from France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, the Unites States of America and the International Union of railways; 5 technical visits to the Italian best-in-class industrial areas in the railway sector; An exhibition with 9 trains; A press campaign within the framework and the rules of a company with an institutional role; A gala dinner for over 1000 people; A “double” organizing committee like in all international conferences but also double within the LOC: Ferrovie dello Stato and Trenitalia

Ega worked with great synergy with the Ferrovie dello Stato communication department, always present to provide the right guidelines and check their comprehension and implementation. We were successful! The project of the 16 e-Poster Touch stations to visualize the posters received one of the Federcongressi awards (the FCE Excellence Award) for the effective use of technology and its full potential, for the numerous interactions enabled by the totems and user-friendly mobile devices. With the help of a talented technical team, EGA managed to rethink with a modern view the traditional poster sessions and to revamp their appeal.
